A carriage, a chase, and a compromise
Daniel Clay notifies Vella Price of the elopement of his nephew Giles with her niece Kitty. In their travels by stage and carriage they desperately try to find their wards and prevent a runaway marriage. Eventually they realize they are the ones who have been compromised, but also that they have fallen in love.
