Amazing Grace tells the inspiring story of William Wilberforce and his passion and perseverance to pass a law ending the slave trade in the late 18th century. Family friendly with an all star cast, its a interesting look into the fight of one man to end slave trade in the British Empire.
For the dandy that has inspired many films, this 2006 depiction This Charming Man shows the struggle between Brummel’s relationship between Prinny and Byron. Full of costumes, charming scenes, and witty repartee.
This 2013 film tells the story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, mixed race daughter of a Royal Navy Captain and her life with her aristocratic relatives, obstacles due to her race, and her amazing resilience to make her mark.
The great news about these more recent movies is that they often appear on popular streaming services, so although we have included purchase links (click image) to buy the DVDs, you may also find them available on your favorite streaming service.
