STATUTO ROOMS FOR OBTAINING SERVANTS AND PLACES No 39 Southumpton Street Strand London adjoining the Westminster Central Mart TO FAMILIES AND SERVANTS STATUTE ROOMS under the most respectable regulations are now established at No 39 SOUTHAMPTON STREET STRAND adjoining the WESTMINSTER CENTRAL Mart where a RESIDENT HOUSEKEEPER competent from her general knowledge of family concerns is in constant attendance on the first floor arrangement to afford Ladies an opportunity of communicating with respectable Female Servants in the upper classes of employment who may be in want of situations Female Servants are also waiting in adjoining rooms up stairs to describe their pretensions and treat with the parties who may prefer to make any propositions The Proprietors of the Souhtampton street STATUTE Room8 return thanks to the numerous Families and many who though heretofore averse to Offices of this description have favoured them with their encouragement and recommendation and assure them that this Establishment from the responsibility of its Proprietors the respectability of its Agents and the exertions of Mrs Wilson the new Resident Housekeeper is established and now conducted on such principles as to effectually remove the objections existing in Offices of the same description and to render it the most ready most respectable and most disinterested medium through which Servants and Places can be obtained Ladies may always find a number of respectable Female Servants at the STATUTE Rooms many of whom have characters from families of the first distinction and those who may prefer seeing Servants at their own house on describing the nature of the situation to Mrs Wilson as above may depend on having none ob ruded on them improperly and only such to be sent as are likely to answer the purpose
