I am just immature enough that the last line gives me delight.
Bubble and squeak is sometimes incorrectly attributed as a late 1800s dish, but actually can be traced back as far as the mid-18th century (https://britishfoodhistory.com/2011/10/03/65/). A dish of boiled cabbage, potatoes, onion and slices of beef, its often made into a patty that is then fried. More often than not, today, its made up of the leftovers from Sunday roast.
The 1810 receipt gives a slightly different version than the popular British dish.
The origins of the term can be debated and read about here: https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/bubble-and-squeak.html
