Part of a series, this novella worked great as a standalone…I read it without skipping a beat. It was a deliciously speedy read I finished in an hour or two on a plane headed for vacation…
Despite the limited word count, there are all the feels, character arcs, and ooey gooey romance (with some steamy sex) that will satisfy a Regency Reader. Sebastian has a knack for getting to the heart of the era, representing working class or other Regency people, giving great LGBQT representation, and offering a delicious balance between romance and intimacy.
The little twists and turns are fun, too, and ultimately make this a great novella for Regency Readers looking for some light, quick storytelling featuring f/f MCs.
I would highly recommend, if anything just to gawk at the beautiful cover art.
