Regency Crime and Punishment: The Terror of Drury Lane

I found this anecdote of a disorderly woman referred to as the Terror of Drury Lane who frequented prison and liked to mill down the watchmen. Her ability to deliver several “lusty thumps” was no doubt improved by alcohol, although it seems Ann Morris could have had a career as a female pugilist.
