Regency Household: Drawing Room Curtains

Appearing in the December 1816 Repository of Arts, Literature, Fashions & Politics, the drawing room window curtains are simple and elegant in cut and design but surprisingly bright in color.

I solemnly swear I wrote that before reading the above description which explains the “richness united with simplicity in the forms…and the colours are happily disposed to exhibit them to advantage.”
