Regency Words: Pronunciation of Regency Terms

During the recent historical romance trivia, author Katherine Grant and I were chatting about how its easy (when all you do is read Regency) to latch on to mispronunciations your brain creates.

I thought it might be helpful to go through some titles used in Regency romance and provide an audio clip with the recognized pronunciation.

This month, I have selected:

Viscount

Viscountess

Marquess

Marchioness

What other terms have you come across in a Regency romance that you are not sure of the pronunciation?  Leave your comments below!

it would be so helpful if you could list some of the rather difficult syllabic family names and their correct pronunciations, especially those that do not pronounce all the letters / as entomologist the pronunciation while reading is essential of the dialogue, many many thanks
