I found other mentions of fire-balls, or lightening, throughout the Regency era.ย  The top snipped text is a wonderful resource for reading about a variety of weather events throughout history.ย  I wasn’t able to substantiate them all, but it gives a good sense of the types of activity people experienced in the early 19th century.
