Regency Pastimes: Playing at the Haymarket (1806)

Playing at the Haymarket Theater (see our post about the Haymarket) in July of 1806 was a play called The Finger Post, or File Miles Off.  This summary was printed in the July 1806 issue of La Belle Assemblee. 

The show was a popular comedy written by Thomas John Dibdin, a notable dramatist and songwriter.
